Workshop Booking Terms

Last updated: 16 August 2026

Thank you for choosing Asa. These terms explain how bookings for Asa Botanicals creative workshops work.

By booking a workshop through our website, you agree to these Workshop Booking Terms. Please read them before completing your booking.

Booking a workshop

Places are available on the dates and at the times shown on the workshop page.

Workshops are intentionally small and places are limited. Your place is confirmed once your booking and payment have been successfully completed and you receive an order confirmation.

Please check the date and time carefully before booking.

Prices and payment

All prices are shown in Pounds Sterling (£).

The price shown when you book includes the workshop and everything stated as included on the relevant workshop page.

Payment is taken securely through our website and must be made in full at the time of booking.

Cancellations and transfers

Our workshops are leisure activities taking place on a specific date. The usual 14-day cancellation right for online purchases does not apply to this type of booking under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

If you can no longer attend, please contact us at hello@asabotanicals.co.uk.

If you cancel at least 7 days before the workshop, you will receive a full refund.

If you cancel less than 7 days before the workshop, your booking is non-refundable. However, you are welcome to transfer your place to somebody else. Please let us know the name of the person attending in your place before the workshop.

You are also welcome to transfer your booking to somebody else at any point before the workshop rather than cancelling.

If you do not attend without cancelling, your booking will not be refunded.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

If we cancel a workshop

Occasionally, circumstances outside our reasonable control may mean that a workshop needs to be cancelled or rearranged.

If Asa Botanicals cancels a workshop, you will be offered either a full refund or the option to transfer your booking to another available date.

We cannot reimburse additional expenses you may have incurred in attending the workshop, such as travel or accommodation, except where required by law.

Location and arrival

Workshops take place at a private residential address in Kendal, Cumbria.

The full address and arrival information will be provided once your booking is confirmed. Free parking is available on the drive and on the street nearby.

Please arrive at the time stated in your booking. If you are running late, please contact us where possible.

Materials and finished pieces

Everything included in your workshop will be described on the relevant workshop page.

Creative work naturally varies. Materials used during our workshops may move, settle, crack, shift or otherwise change as they dry. These variations are part of the creative process and mean that every finished piece will be different.

Some pieces may need to remain with Asa Botanicals after the workshop while they dry. Where this applies, the expected drying and collection arrangements will be explained on the workshop page.

Please take reasonable care when transporting and using your finished piece after collection.

Safety and accessibility

We want our workshops to be relaxed and enjoyable. Please follow any reasonable safety instructions provided during the workshop and use materials and equipment as instructed.

If you have an allergy, sensitivity, accessibility requirement or anything else that may affect your participation, please contact us before booking, or as soon as possible afterwards, so that we can discuss how we may reasonably accommodate you.

Refreshments and allergies

Tea, coffee and cake are provided at our workshops unless otherwise stated.

You will have the opportunity to tell us about dietary requirements when booking.

We will do our best to accommodate reasonable dietary requirements, but as refreshments are prepared and served in a domestic environment, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

Our responsibility to you

We will provide the workshop with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with the description provided when you booked.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any responsibility that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including your statutory consumer rights.

Privacy

When you book a workshop, we collect information necessary to process your payment, manage your booking and communicate with you about the workshop.

Information about how we collect and use personal information can be found in our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These Workshop Booking Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Nothing in these terms affects any rights you may have as a consumer regarding where legal proceedings can be brought.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Workshop Booking Terms from time to time.

Any changes will be published on this page together with the updated revision date. The terms in place when you made your booking will continue to apply to that booking.
