Textured Lampshade Workshop

These workshops are intentionally small, with just four women.
There’s no need to arrive with an idea of what you want to make. Nothing you need to be good at.
Just a few hours in which your hands have something to do and you have nowhere else you need to be.
What happens around the table
I’ll show you the materials and how I explore them, then the rest is yours.
Add something. Take something away. Change your mind. Follow whatever catches your attention.
There’s no design to copy and no right way for it to look.
You can talk around the table. Make quietly. Eat cake, drink tea.
When you’re finished, your lamp stays with me to dry for 48 hours. I’ll let you know when it’s ready to collect.
The materials move and settle. Some crack. Some shift. Things happen that couldn’t have been planned.
And when it’s ready, you switch on the light and see what emerged.
Something that didn’t exist before.
